Parents of first grade students, don't forget that all first grade classrooms will be having their special performance event this Thursday, May 17th at 8:15am in the school's auditorium. It's that time of year again! The CST testing period begins on Monday, May 7th. It is important that your child be present during this period.  We recommend that your child have a complete breakfast in the morning. They should also be getting plenty of sleep at night, so that they will be ready for testing.  Finally we would like to say that here at Victoria we like to remind our students to: "Believe, Achieve and Succeed during Test Time!"

Our school is still collecting Box Tops for Education.  Every time you buy groceries, you can save the coupons from hundreds of General Mills products.  Each box top is worth 10 cents.  Please continue to cut out the box tops.  Please have your children bring the box tops to the office or they can deposit them in the collection boxes in their classrooms.

Wear your Victoria Ave School t-shirt, polo or sweatshirt every Friday to show your school spirit!  Every student who wears his or her Victoria Ave attire on Spirit Fridays will earn a Power Paw to exchange for prizes and school supplies from our Lions "R" Us Store!

Please pull forward when dropping off your child at school in the morning. Please DO NOT drop-off your child across the street and have them run across the street.  South Gate Police Department constantly monitors traffic movement near our school and will issue traffic citations to violators.
